Lode Martens (°1973) is a well-established expert in the field of High Jewellery. Each design is inspired by timeless elegance, contemporary grace and age-old craftsmanship. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted from a handpicked selection of the finest stones and most precious diamonds. Infused with the glamour of bygone eras, his bold and powerful designs are treasure-forever pieces to love unconditionally. Every season, women the world over fall in love with his vision of femininity. Adding a twist to classic crafts, Lode Martens has developed a distinctive style as a goldsmith and jewellery designer and built a customer base at home and abroad.

From an early age, Lode Martens expressed an interest in design and jewellery. At the age of sixteen, he went to Namur to study at the ‘Institut d'Enseignement des Arts, Techniques, Sciences et Artisanat’ where he learned the craft of goldsmith. Afterwards he moved to Germany where he graduated at the world-renowned jewellery design school ‘Goldschmiedeschule Pforzheim’. He worked for three years in a jewellery studio near Düsseldorf followed by three years in Aachen. The next years, he has immersed himself in the world of high fashion, living in Paris where he crafted High Jewellery for legendary houses such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior, Cartier and Chanel. Lode Martens launched his eponymous label in 2003 and opened his own studio in Hasselt.

Lode makes a 3D sketch of each design so that the design can be clearly communicated and discussed.
